There’s not a lot different from the two aside from a slightly less crisp audio- but even then it’s still a pretty amazing audio quality. On the other hand, the Razer Seiren V2 X provides many of the same features as its Pro counterpart, albeit in a smaller package and more economic pricepoint. It’s not a full 360 degrees thanks to the cable, however- but it’s definitely good enough to make sure you’re pointing your microphone in the right direction. It’s also by far the more handsome of the two microphones, sporting two very stylish knobs on either side of the mic that also allow the mic to swivel. As long as you have the microphone pointed in your general direction, you won’t have to worry too much about the quality drop and you’ll have the added advantage of actually seeing the game screen. Instead, think of its position on your desk more like those late-night talk show hosts, who have a microphone off to the side. While your first instinct might be to nest it between your arms while streaming, expect the Pro to get in the way for this. The one downside of the Razer Seiren V2 Pro is that it is markedly bigger than its X counterpart. That filter means lower frequency instruments like a bass might lose out, but don’t fret- these settings can all be adjusted via the Razer Synapse app- so you’ll be able to adjust it for the scenarios you want whether you’re delivering sick burns or playing some tasty jams. Out of the box, you might run into some trouble if you try to use it for any kind of musical recording, however. It’s a great tool for any creator, especially one planning to do livestreams. Personally, I’m a huge fan of the mic monitoring function- if you’re running any kind of professional setup, you’ll want a live preview of how you sound that doesn’t require you to export a sample first. The microphone comes with built in shock absorbers and windsocks- these will prevent the microphone from picking up lots of unnecessary noises, like accidentally tapping your table too hard in the middle of a heated match. It also has way more features to play to this, too. This makes it great for any kind of vocal-based recording- if you’re a budding streamer or podcaster, you’re gonna have a great time with the Razer Seiren V2 Pro. Using a combination of its high-pass filter and high quality audio drivers, sounds recorded on the Razer Seiren V2 Pro feel crisp and clear, even sounding like they were recorded in a studio instead of in an apartment.
